Trouble For Mourinho As Manchester United Star Threatens To Retire

Manchester United star midfielder Michael Carrick has explained that he might be considering hanging his boots at the end of the ongoing Premier League season if the Red Devils fail to offer him a new contract at Old Trafford.

The 35-year-old English man has been playing for Manchester United since 2006 when he joined from rivals Tottenham for a fee of £18 million.

His current contract will expire at the end of the current Premier League season, and manager Jose Mourinho is yet to offer him any contract extension.

Carrick who has also featured for West Ham United has now revealed that he could quit professional football if United fail to extend his stay.

”I don’t think there are other clubs I would love to play for than Manchester United and something has to be done fast on the current situation.

”I understand that I’m not going to play every game for the club, and I haven’t really got a problem with that because I love this club.

”Going to another team at the end of the season is not what is ideal for my career and probably I will quit football if I’m not giving contract extension,” Carrick explained
